The Myprotein Impact Creatine Monohydrate – Special Edition Vimto® Flavour is a unique collaboration that brings an iconic British cordial taste into the world of fitness supplements. As avid Vimto lovers (let’s be honest, nothing beats a warm cup of Vimto on a cold day), we were excited to see how this flavoured creatine powder measures up. In this review, we’ll cover the taste, mixability, and how it compares to other popular berry-flavoured creatine monohydrates in the UK market. Overall, our experience has been overwhelmingly positive, with a few personal opinions thrown in for good measure.

Authentic Vimto Taste and Flavour Experience
Myprotein nailed the authentic Vimto taste with this creatine. The moment you mix it with water, you’re hit with that unmistakable juicy, fruity aroma that screams Vimto . The flavour is a medley of berries and grapes with a subtle herbal sweetness – just like the classic Vimto cordial from our childhood. Drinking this during or after a workout genuinely felt like a nostalgic treat. It’s refreshing and not overly sweet, striking a good balance so you don’t get flavor fatigue.
Importantly, this creatine is sugar-free (sweetened with sucralose and acesulfame-K), yet it doesn’t have a strong artificial aftertaste. Myprotein has used natural color from beetroot and spirulina, so your drink turns a vibrant purple-pink, which adds to the fun. It’s almost like having a glass of diluted Vimto squash, only chilled. Of course, we have to admit – as wonderful as this flavour is, it’s not quite the same as real hot Vimto on a cozy evening. But for a workout supplement, it comes impressively close to the real thing in taste. We found ourselves looking forward to taking creatine every day because it tastes like a treat rather than a chore.

Mixability and Texture
Mixability is often a concern with creatine monohydrate powders, but as with all Myprotein creatine products, the Vimto edition mixes exceptionally well. The powder is micronized, meaning it has a very fine texture. In our tests, one scoop in a shaker cup with water dissolved with just a few shakes – no clumps, no gritty residue. Unlike some cheaper creatine brands that can be grainy, this one ends up smooth like a regular juice drink, making it easy to get down . Even stirring with a spoon in a glass worked decently; there might be a tiny bit of sediment if it sits for too long, but a quick swirl and it’s gone.
The texture when dissolved is light and not chalky at all. We didn’t experience any foam on top (Myprotein even added an anti-foaming agent to ensure a clean mix). Many users echo this sentiment – whether you choose the Vimto flavour or another, Impact Creatine has a reputation for dissolving well with no unpleasant mouthfeel . This means you can comfortably sip on it during your gym session or mix it into a post-workout shake without noticing any weird texture. Bottom line: mixability is top-notch, so you get the full 3g creatine dose without gritty bits at the bottom of your shaker.
How Vimto Flavour Stacks Up Against Bulk and Warrior
With flavoured creatine becoming popular, it’s worth comparing Myprotein’s Vimto flavour to some other berry-themed competitors in the UK: Bulk’s Mixed Berry and Warrior’s Blazin’ Berry. We tried these as well to see how they measure up in taste and overall experience.
Bulk Creatine Monohydrate (Mixed Berry): Bulk’s Mixed Berry flavour is a lovely medley of sweet and tart berry notes . It offers a generic “berry squash” taste that is pleasant and not too overpowering. The sweetness is balanced, and it doesn’t come off as artificial. In fact, a BBC Good Food review noted that Bulk’s mixed berry creatine “isn’t overly sweet or artificial” and dissolves easily in water – we’d agree. Mixability for Bulk’s creatine is also very good (it’s 99.9% pure micronized creatine, so no surprises there). However, when directly compared to the Vimto flavour, Bulk’s berry lacks that unique punch. It tastes like a standard berry drink – enjoyable but not particularly memorable. The Vimto creatine gave us a distinctive nostalgic vibe that Bulk’s Mixed Berry didn’t. If Bulk’s flavour is a solid 8/10 in taste, we’d rate Myprotein’s Vimto a notch higher. The childhood reminiscence and the novelty of a beloved UK flavour in your creatine just make the experience more special.
Warrior Creatine Monohydrate (Blazin’ Berry): The Warrior Blazin’ Berry creatine is another fruity contender. This one packs a stronger sweet berry candy flavor. Some users love it, some find it a tad too sweet – it’s a bit more polarising. In our testing, the Blazin’ Berry was enjoyable: think along the lines of a blue-raspberry/slushie type of berry. Warrior’s formula is also micronised for easy mixing, and indeed it mixes perfectly with no clumps or graininess . We also appreciated that the berry flavour isn’t chemically or overly fake tasting , making it quite drinkable every day. That said, we still preferred the Vimto flavour overall. Why? Vimto has a more layered fruit taste (thanks to that grape-blackcurrant richness) whereas Blazin’ Berry tasted a bit one-dimensional in comparison. For us, the Vimto creatine wins on flavour authenticity – it doesn’t just taste like “generic berry”, it tastes like Vimto, which for many of us in the UK is instantly recognizable and smile-inducing. Warrior’s Blazin’ Berry is a fun option (and it might be the closest in sweetness to actual Vimto cordial), but we’d rank it just slightly below Myprotein’s offering. If we had to choose, the Vimto flavour edges out as our top pick among these three.
In summary, Myprotein Vimto Creatine stands out against both Bulk and Warrior’s berry flavours. All three mix well and do the job of providing creatine, but Vimto wins on uniqueness and nostalgia. It’s the flavour we found ourselves reaching for again and again, whereas the others felt more replaceable. For anyone who grew up in the UK, the choice is clear – Vimto flavour brings back fond memories while powering your workouts.
Value for Money and Usage Tips
When it comes to value, Myprotein’s creatine is known for being budget-friendly, and the Vimto edition is no exception. A tub contains around 50 servings, which at the time of writing costs roughly £15.99 full price (often on sale for about £9.99) . That works out to just 20–32 pence per serving, an excellent price for a quality creatine monohydrate. It’s comparable to Bulk’s pricing and often cheaper than many competitors, especially if you snag it during one of Myprotein’s frequent sales or use an influencer discount code. Considering you’re getting a well-dosed 3g of creatine per serving plus a great flavour, it’s a cost-effective way to supplement.
Using this creatine is straightforward. We recommend mixing one scoop (~5g) with 200-300ml of cold water. If you have a shaker bottle, even better – you’ll get a perfectly smooth drink in seconds. For those who already make protein shakes, you can toss the creatine in there too (though with the Vimto flavour, we honestly preferred drinking it on its own like a sports drink). Consistency is key with any creatine monohydrate, so having a flavour you love can help you remember to take it every day. There’s no caffeine or stimulants in this product, so you can take it pre-workout, post-workout, or anytime that suits you. Just stay hydrated, as creatine works best when you’re well-watered.
One thing to note: This special edition flavour is a limited collab with Vimto, so if it becomes a permanent offering will likely depend on popularity. Given how much we and other reviewers have enjoyed it (one user even said “Vimto flavour is amazing – so good I’m going to order the Vimto Clear Whey to go with it” ), we hope it sticks around! If you’re on the fence, it’s definitely worth grabbing a tub while it’s available, especially if you’re a Vimto fan.
